The Challenge
The brief we set ourselves: a boutique hotel where every suite offers unobstructed Aegean views while maintaining absolute privacy between guests. A hillside site like Emponas presents steep terrain and strict local building regulations that limit height and footprint. No guest should ever see another — yet every room should feel open to the landscape.

Our Approach
We designed a cascading arrangement of independent volumes, each rotated 15 degrees from its neighbour to create visual separation while maximising sea exposure. The local stone that anchors the buildings to the hillside continues indoors as textured feature walls, and each suite is arranged around a single deep-set window that frames the village rooftops and the Aegean beyond. Custom floating oak beds, concealed warm lighting and a minimal plaster fireplace keep every room calm and uncluttered — nothing competes with the view.

Design Intent
This concept study explores how hospitality architecture can make privacy itself the luxury. The cascading, rotated volumes show how a steep site can yield twelve suites that each feel alone with the sea. For a real site, we would adapt the geometry to its orientation, regulations and budget — the principle travels; the design is tailored.
